How to Put an Objection on the Planning Website
- Go to the Planning Search page on the Herefordshire County Council website – www.herefordshire.gov.uk/info/200142/planning_services/planning_application_search
- Type in the planning application reference number – 243282 – into the “Search for Application” search bar.
- Click the “Search” button
- Now click on the “Select” button.
- This will take you straight to the Solar Panel Planning Application.
- Click on the blue coloured text “Make a comment on this application”. You can get further guidance on this by clicking on the “guidance on making comments” link.
- Tick the box to indicate that you have read the guidance and the box to confirm that you agree with the terms of the application process and then complete your details below.
- Click the “Next” button which will take you to the application page. You can then either type in your objection directly onto the page or you can upload a document which you have prepared in advance.
Finally, the objection form has a required field at the very end asking what you would accept as a Section 106 Contribution for infrastructure if the application is accepted. Section 106 applies if the developer is required to make a “statutory payment” into a community fund or project as a formal condition of any approval.
The answer should be that there isn’t anything, because you can’t mitigate the loss of landscape, character, wildlife etc with additional infrastructure, or something similar.
